Kia ora, I initially trained as a Laboratory Nurse in Diagnostic and after a move to London, I worked as a Phlebotomist before becoming Operations Manager at several hospitals, including St Thomas’ Hospital and Kings College Hospital. My passion, however, has always been in Aged Care, previously known as Geriatric Nursing.

My husband and I live in Cape Egmont, Taranaki, where we enjoy the beautiful scenery. In my spare time, I love knitting, sewing, and spending time with family and friends.

As Facility Manager at Rhapsody in New Plymouth, I’m dedicated to ensuring our residents receive compassionate care and support during this important stage of life.

Sarndra Wallis

We prioritise comfort and personal space, and residents enjoy large spacious bedrooms, some designed for double occupancy. The facility boasts a large dining area, several lounges, and communal spaces. We understand the importance of small gestures and strive to make our residents feel truly at home.

We are proud of our long connection to our community and the caring role that we play in our resident’s lives.

Respite Care

For those considering respite care, this is an option at Rhapsody based on availability. Please call our Facility Manager to discuss the options.

Our approach to care

At Alden, we believe that all our elders deserve compassionate, trusted and respectful care, no matter their means or background. Our nurses and caregivers offer personalised care backed by industry-leading qualifications and training.

Premium room charges apply to rooms with enhanced features, a private ensuite, a more spacious room or a desirable location within the facility.
