I began my career in business management, and when I married, my husband and I moved to London for four years, eventually returning home to New Zealand to be closer to family.

My father went into aged care on my return, and I was impressed and inspired by the wonderful care he received. I could see each carer’s impact on improving the quality of each resident’s life, so I wanted to utilise my skills in aged care. I joined Ultimate Care Group in 2011 in an administration role. Since then, I have taken on more managerial responsibilities and now hold the Facility Manager position.

Outside work, I enjoy spending time with family, health and fitness, and travelling. I feel fortunate to be surrounded by a passionate team here, and enjoy my days with our residents during their later stage of life.

Being a smaller facility we liken ourselves to being one big happy family. We believe the most important factor for our residents is to assist them to live a full quality life, in a friendly and family-oriented environment, one that respects and celebrates their individuality and life.

Respite Care

For those considering respite care, this is an option at Palliser House based on availability. Please call our Facility Manager to discuss the options.

At Alden, we believe that all our elders deserve compassionate, trusted and respectful care, no matter their means or background. Our nurses and caregivers offer personalised care backed by industry-leading qualifications and training.
