With over 30 years of experience in the health sector, I have worked as a caregiver, in medical centres, and as a practice manager in various medical and specialist practices. I’ve always had a passion for working with older people, and as Facility Manager at Oakland in Tauranga, I’m excited to use my management skills to make a positive difference in the lives of those in aged care.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending concerts, and walking my two small dogs. My five grandchildren keep me busy with their sports and activities, and I’m grateful to be part of a community that values care and connection.

Residents are assisted to live a full quality life, in a warm, friendly and family-oriented environment, one that respects and celebrates their individuality and life.

We have communal living areas for residents to spend time together, and an open-door policy when friends and families visit. We can also accommodate couples in the same room.

With dedicated respite rooms, and easy access thanks to our central location, Oakland is a popular choice for aged care in the Tauranga area.

Respite Care

For those considering respite care, this is an option at Oakland thanks to our dedicated rooms for this service. Please call our Facility Manager to discuss the options and availability.

Our approach to care

At Alden, we believe that all our elders deserve compassionate, trusted and respectful care, no matter their means or background. Our nurses and caregivers offer personalised care backed by industry-leading qualifications and training.

Premium room charges apply to rooms with enhanced features, a private ensuite, a more spacious room or a desirable location within the facility.
