With experience in administration and facility management in both the science and aged care sectors, my career is driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference. Having cared for my father through his battle with dementia, I understand the importance of compassionate care and aim to ensure everyone in our care feels valued, respected, and supported.
I’m a proud mother to an 18-year-old son and enjoy playing indoor bowls with my husband. I’ve competed nationally and internationally, which has allowed us to explore new places together. I also love mosaic and the occasional self-care day of massage and pampering treatments. Together with my inspiring 80-year-old mother (who lives with us) we enjoy gardening; I cherish these moments of creativity and connection – both at home and at work.

At Lakewood, we understand the overwhelming challenges faced by those living with Dementia and the impact it has on their families. Specialised staff receive ongoing training and extensive experience in dementia care and understanding engagement and social interaction are essential for mental and emotional well-being.
Residents enjoy nutritional meals produced on-site by our talented kitchen team. Our recreation team comprises of qualified Diversional Therapists who work together to provide fun and stimulating activities and outings.
We encourage family involvement and provide support to assist families in managing the challenges of dementia caregiving. Every Friday, we host a lively happy hour, featuring live entertainment each week. Our secure, peaceful gardens offer a safe space for residents and their families to relax and enjoy together. At Lakewood, we strive to create a comfortable, home-like environment for all.

Premium room charges apply to rooms with enhanced features, a private ensuite, a more spacious room or a desirable location within the facility. These charges cover the extra comfort provided, and are separate from the basic care and accommodation fees, which are typically covered by the government subsidy or the resident’s funding.
