Originally from the USA, I moved to New Zealand in 1997 and soon began working as a midwife in Wellington. After many years of juggling midwifery and the raising of my 4 children, I finally returned to full time work in a retirement village. There I discovered my passion for working with older people, and especially working in a residential environmental which allows you to get to know people so well. I love building positive relationships –  with residents, their families, and also with our lovely staff. All these relationships are what make Churtonleigh feel like a big, busy family.

In my spare time, I love singing in a women’s barbershop chorus and spending time with family and friends. You are very welcome to come visit us at Churtonleigh any time. There is always a warm smile to greet you!
